Who are the Kwalee Pathfinders?

Games are nothing without players. That’s why we want to get our games in front of passionate people like you as soon as possible, and work with you to make them even better before they reach the public. When game testing, you’ll get the chance to play the most exciting upcoming titles in your favourite genres at our studio.

With your feedback, we can tailor our games to provide the exciting experiences you crave. Too easy? Too hard? Or just doesn’t feel quite right? Whatever your thoughts or suggestions, you’ll be right at the heart of the development process. Oh, and we’ll look after you with free games, treats, and refreshments.

FAQs

What is Kwalee Pathfinders about?

You get the chance to play Kwalee’s upcoming PC and console games and dabble in game testing by giving us feedback to improve those games. In return, you’ll get cool rewards and a peek behind the curtain at the development of some brilliant unreleased titles.

Do I need to be ‘qualified’ in anything?

No. As long as you’re passionate about games, you’re good.

Do I have to sign anything or do any ‘official stuff’?

You’ll probably need to sign a non-disclosure agreement, which extends till the game’s official release. Don’t get spooked! It simply means you can’t blab about what you’ve seen; it’s like a less violent Fight Club.

What do I get in return?

You’ll be well looked-after, with free food, drinks and other treats. You’ll also get experience that you can use to build a career in the games industry. And you’ll be credited in the games you’ve provided feedback on. Imagine going down in history as being partly responsible for a hit game!

Can I invite my friends to this programme?

If your friends also play plenty of games, sure! Existing members can get in touch with our team to make referrals but all will be considered according to the same criteria.

Is this a remote thing?

Ideally, we want you at the studio as the game testing experience is most optimal that way. But we could work some things out! Just give us a shout.

If it’s not remote, then what precautions are you taking against COVID-19?

While masks are optional, we suggest wearing one as an additional safety measure. We also have a fresh set of disposable masks in case you need them, so that you’d feel more comfortable wearing one once you arrive.
